But at Vecolate, familiar ingredients are often where the most interesting questions begin.
We wanted to know what would happen if spinach was allowed to keep its natural identity, but placed beside flavours that could bring out a completely different side of it.
Hazelnut gave us richness.
Caramel gave us softness.
And a tiny touch of coffee gave the centre its final aromatic warmth.
Together, they changed the conversation.
Spinach was no longer simply something green.
It became The Emerald.
